There is no direct treatment for ectopic kidney.
If the scans show no other abnormalities, and your child is well, no treatment or follow-up is needed.
Contact your GP if your child develops symptoms of urinary tract infections or has on-going stomach pain.
If your child has kidney stones or vesicoureteral reflux, you may be referred to a urologist (a surgeon who specialises in the urinary tract) for a specialist review.
